Katie Price has hit back at those who've criticised her for using a sunbed while pregnant with her fourth child.

The model, 35, was turned away from a salon last weekend because the company's insurance wouldn't cover her treatment, but Jordan managed to find another one that would oblige.

Katie's since been labelled a 'tit' and 'vile' by some Twitter users, while one told her she should have had a spray tan instead.

'your find if you do your research sunbeds are ok to use during pregnancy but fake tans are not recommended stupid cow,' she responded.

Mum-of-three Katie is expecting her first child with new husband Kieran Hayler, 26, and is believed to be around six months gone.

Her spokeswoman says she's taken medical advice and is 'happy that occasional short use of sunbeds is not an issue'.

The NHS Choices website says there's no clear evidence about the effects of using booths while pregnant but the government's new Public Health England organisation doesn't recommend it.

'The World Health Organization's advice is that pregnant women should not make use of UV tanning equipment,' a spokesman tells the Sunday Mirror.

'Public Health England agrees with this advice and also discourages the use of sunbeds for cosmetic tanning.'

MODEL Katie Price was turned away from a Caterham tanning salon due to being pregnant.

The 35-year-old TV star and former glamour model was refused treatment at Tan Fx, in Croydon Road, and told she was a risk because she would not be insured to go on the sunbeds.

Price, previously known as Jordan, walked out and found another salon that would let her tan.

Her spokeswoman later said: "Katie went to another salon where she was not treated as though she were abnormal simply because she is pregnant."

Tan Fx owner Abi Williams wrote about the incident on Facebook, saying: "Just turned Katie Price away from a sunbed – ouch!!

"She is quite heavily pregnant. Apparently salons near her do [let her use sunbeds] but, as much as she's a great customer, it's not worth the risk.

"It's not against the law, but I run a tight ship and she wouldn't be insured... hopefully see her again once she has had her baby!"

The post was later removed from Facebook.

Price, who is thought to be around six months' pregnant, insisted sunbeds were safe for expectant mothers.

"Katie has taken medical advice on this issue and is happy that occasional short use of sunbeds is not an issue during pregnancy," her spokeswoman added.

But medical experts are not so sure about the safety of sunbeds for pregnant women and discourage mothers-to-be from using them.

A spokesman for the government's new Public Health England organisation said: "The World Health Organisation's advice is that pregnant women should not make use of UV tanning equipment.

"Public Health England agrees with this advice and also discourages the use of sunbeds for cosmetic tanning.”

But the NHS Choices website said there was no clear evidence about the effects of sunbed UV rays on unborn babies.

It states: "Some studies show that there may be a link between increased UV rays and a folic acid deficiency. This is because UV rays can break down folic acid.

"Folic acid is very important in the development of the baby's neural system (brain and spinal cord) which is formed during weeks one to 13 of pregnancy."

The baby is Price's first child with her third husband, 25-year-old stripper Kieran Hayler, from Aldershot. The couple got married last year after dating for just a few months.

Price has two children with ex-husband Peter Andre - Princess, five, and seven-year-old Junior - as well as 11-year-old son Harvey with former footballer Dwight Yorke.

Katie Price (or Jordan, as everyone still calls her) was this week turned away from a tanning salon in Surrey because she was too heavily pregnant for them too handle. BEFORE YOU START TO WORRY: Katie Price still did get a tan. She just went elsewhere. Please do not worry about Katie Price getting a tan.

According to The Mirror, Katie was turned away from Tan Fx in Caterham after being told the shop's insurance wouldn't cover her spell on a sunbed – so she promptly walked out and found somewhere more comprehensively insured to go and catch some UV rays.

But it seems the model was 'pretty unhappy' with the way she was treated during the incident.

There's no clear and definite evidence as to whether UV rays have any effect on an unborn child, and seeing as we failed our medical school entrance exam pretty hard (humans have two legs, who knew?) we can only tell you what the NHS says – that some pregnant women find their skin is more sensitive than usual and so could suffer an allergic reaction, plus it is thought excessive UV exposure could inhibit folic acid reserves.

Then again, Katie probably knows vaguely what she's doing by now – she's currently expecting her fourth child with husband Kieran Hayler.

JORDAN is planning to reboot her telly career – on YouTube.

The pregnant star — real name Katie Price — has been off the box for ages after her £5million deal with Sky TV ended last year.

But last night she revealed plans to give fans a new window into her madcap life — by setting up her own online channel and charging people to watch.

The mum of three hinted that she was plotting an internet channel last month, writing in her Sun column that she was fed up of being edited by others and could see the benefits of self-uploading site YouTube.

Now she has revealed that the so-called “PriceyTube” will be like a You’ve Been Framed service, offering up bite-size chunks of her life for £1 a pop.

She said: “YouTube is the way forward. I’m starting my own channel. I’m going to charge people a pound a clip.

“I could be in my kitchen cooking or mucking out my horses. I could be riding them. I could be on holiday saying, ‘look at me do this dive’.

“It might show me trying to start a barbecue or making a speech somewhere. It could be absolutely anything.

“You put it on and you charge a pound and people watch that.

“Instead of spending hours and weeks doing one show, you can just control it yourself.”

The glamour girl spent years having her every move filmed for the telly.

She filmed NINE series of her ITV2 show which ran for five years. It was in tandem with then hubby Peter Andre — who she famously met on I’m A Celebrity.

After the pair split, Katie signed the mega-money two-year deal with Sky Living for shows including fashion model talent trawl Signed By Katie Price — but ratings flopped.

The deal ended in November and she has been off the telly since. She has been busy though — her latest novel, He’s The One, is out on June 20.

Meanwhile, Katie admitted that she had ballooned to her biggest size ever with her fourth pregnancy.

She said: “I haven’t got long to go now.

“I’ve got a date and I know the sex but no one knows yet — and this time I’m huge.

“I’m the biggest I’ve been for all of my pregnancies.

“I’m 11st already, whereas I was not even ten-and-a-half full-term with the others.

“I’ll just be relieved when it’s born so I can walk properly and I haven’t got all this weight to carry.”

Katie Price has revealed that she plans to set up her own YouTube channel and charge people to watch it.

The pregnant glamour model, who married third hubby Kieran Hayler in January, wants to share snippets of her life with her fans - but they'll have to pay one pound per view.

‘YouTube is the way forward. I'm starting my own channel,' says Katie, 35.

‘Instead of spending hours and weeks doing one show, you can just control it yourself.'

Katie's new venture comes after her £5 million deal with Sky TV, who screened numerous reality shows featuring the mum-of-three, came to an end last year.

She also previously filmed nine fly-on-the-wall series for ITV2 with ex-husband Peter Andre, who still has his own show with the channel.

Katie, who is expecting her fourth child, plans to give her fans a glimpse of her everyday life through the YouTube channel.

Actress Jill Gascoine has revealed she is suffering with Alzheimer's disease.

The star of 80s cop drama 'The Gentle Touch' - where she played Britain’s first female TV police detective - made the public announcement during a Hollywood gala to raise money for the condition.

Accepting an award for courage, the 76-year-old was introduced on the stage by friend and fellow actress Millicent Martin, and said of her battle with the disease: "It’s been so dreadful, this thing, that I decided I was going to stand up and say, 'Well, it’s going to happen so get on with it'. I can’t think of anything else to say.

"What do I say?" Gascoine said turning to Martin, appearing confused.

"Just say thank you," Martin replied.

The Daily Mail reports that the star has been battling problems with her memory for "three or four years", but was only officially diagnosed 18 months ago.

A friend of Gascoine's added that she had started telling friends a year ago, before going public.

Gascoine was cast as in 'EastEnders' in 2009 as Glenda Mitchell, but quit the role just days after the official announcement was made, citing that she "lacked the right experience to film such a big continuing drama".

She added: "I have tremendous respect for 'EastEnders' and the cast so I didn't want to let the show or my fellow cast members down."

The role was recast and awarded to Glynis Barber.

BGT: Francine Lewis leaves judges in hysterics – stv.tv

Francine Lewis left had the Britain’s Got Talent judges in hysterics during her first audition with her amazing impressions of Katie Price and Cheryl Cole, and after impressing them again during the semi-finals, they couldn’t wait to see what she had in store for them during tonight’s final show.

And the 37-year-old certainly didn’t disappoint as her new impression of Alan Carr went down a storm, leaving everyone in hysterics. Her Geri Halliwell impression was just as well received, with Simon laughing his head off.

Moving onto old favourites Stacey Solomon and then Audrey Roberts and Deirdre from Corrie, Francine had the audience in stitches, and her Janet Street-Porter impression went down a storm.

Francine left the best until last for her impression of Katie Price, which saw her mocking the glamour girl as she sang Barbie Girl very badly surrounded by topless men dressed in white trousers and pink bow ties.

Amanda loved the performance and said: “Francine, you’re on the ball for absolutely everything.

“You are so clever and so talented and I hope Katie Price loved that because I thought it was genius.”

Simon agreed with Amanda’s comments and said: “That’s the best we have seen of you so far. Your confidence has grown throughout the competition and I really think we are seeing a star emerging.”

David found Francine’s routine hilarious and told her: “Each time you’ve come on you’ve introduced new impressions and for that whole routine you should really have a spin off show of Katie Price.”

Alesha added: “Is there anyone you can’t do? Your talent is amazing and you look absolutely beautiful. It was genius.”

Francine was delighted with the judges’ comments and said: “It’s been amazing. I have had the best experience of my life and have enjoyed every minute.

“I hope everyone else has liked it!”

Francine is the only impressionist in this year's Britain's Got Talent and goes up against several singers - Asanda, Gabz, Jordan O'Keefe, Arisxandra and Richard and Adam – as well as dance troupes Pre-skool and Attraction, wildcard act Steve Hewlitt, comedian Jack Carroll and band Luminites.

The story went viral; within weeks the Pan Arabia Enquirer had 500,000 hits, while even a few members of the Emirates cabin crew were fooled by a news article that stated the Dubai-based airline would introduce shisha lounges onboard its A380 fleet.

After a few seconds of disbelief, realization dawns, the Pan Arabia Enquirer is a satire news website filled with entertaining but “fake” stories, according to their website.

“I’ll admit, I was fooled,” said Habil Omary, an Emirates cabin crew member with four years’ experience told Al Arabiya. “I was forwarded the story by a colleague, and we believed the whole thing until someone pointed out the ‘satire’ tag at the top of the website.”

“It was definitely a relief, and we had a good laugh.”

He was not the only one to be misled; plenty of readers have left unhappy comments below several PAE articles, stating their dissatisfaction with the “news.”

A piece last year about British model Katie Price, also known as Jordan, suing the country of Jordan over naming rights is just one example. Several hundred voiced their angry opinion on the matter.

“Katie Price should get an education before she starts suing anyone. The name Jordan is older than her whole ancestry and is mentioned in the bible,” commented a person identified as Zain.

In response, other commenters left reminders of the website’s self-proclaimed satirical nature.

“Wow, is everyone really outraged? Please read the ‘SATIRE’ header. Good lord. Or the Pan-Arabia Enquirer motto: “The Finest Source of Made Up News from the Middle East,” wrote another commenter.
